This customized program is based around a series of four nutrition counseling sessions for people age 18 and up, with a focus on cooking at home. Each session will be flexible to a client’s needs at the time of meeting. We can have sessions by phone, by teleconference using Skype or FaceTime, or we can meet in person at your home, office, outside for a light walk, or the location of your choosing. Email support is provided between sessions.

The process takes off with a comprehensive questionnaire to guide the direction of your individualized program. This begins the process of getting to know you and discovering how to best support your unique health considerations and personal goals for wellness and for cooking fresh, exciting food on a regular basis. Throughout our time together, you have several options as to how we can advance your goals, including:

  • Private cooking class
  • Informational handouts and suggested reading lists for a variety of topics
  • Strategies for difficult eating situations, time constraints, and eating out
  • Evaluations of one-week diet and lifestyle journal and other wellness questionnaires
  • Suggestions of foods to reduce, eliminate, incorporate or boost
  • Tips for keeping the kitchen stocked with real food
  • Creating connections to clean, high-quality food sources, like local organic produce and pasture-raised meats
  • Flexible strategies to inspire improvised cooking and meal prep (an alternative to meal plans!)
  • Seasonal recipes with allergy-friendly, health-boosting, real food ingredients
  • Tips on practical, budget-friendly, and non-toxic cooking equipment
  • Guided health food tour or farmer’s market tour
  • Coaching to encourage your progress and overall well-being
